Manchester’s surroundings

If you decide to take a trip out of the city, you can visit Quarry Bank Mill, one of the best preserved textile mills of the Industrial Revolution and museum of the cotton industry. You could also visit Tatton Park with its Mansion, Old Tudor Hall and acres of gardens and deer park – it’s hard to believe all of this is on the doorstep of Manchester!

National Trust Dunham Massey is also a great day out.  Throughout the grounds you’ll be treated to an abundance of wildlife. The grounds are extremely well taken care of and an abundance of colourful plants and flowers, whatever the season brighten up the landscape.

The 17th Century Dunham Massey House dominates the landscape and forms the central feature of the park. Visitors can explore the house between the months of March and October.
